Things you need to check before you send in your film:

  1. Ensure the film is well-handled and used film which intending to be processed 

  2. Verify that the parcel contains only the film you want to be processed and does not include personal belongings such as straps or film cameras that you wish to retain.

  3. ​Please attach a note with the film if there are any specific steps we need to pay attention to.

Film processing and scanning service information to note:

​

  1. Darkroom8 operating hours are from Monday to Sunday, 12 pm to 6 pm, closed on public holidays.

  2. Film Processing Turnover timetable will be attached to the invoice for your reference.

  3. Digital files will be backed up for 1 month.

  4. We will archive your negatives for up to 60 days. If we do not receive updated information/payment within 7 days (after the 60-day archiving period) regarding shipment or self-pickup (by appointment basis), we reserve the right to no longer archive your negatives.

  5. Special processing and scanning situations (e.g., half-frame, xpan, panorama) will require additional working days and charges.

  6. We retain the right to decide which scanner to use for scanning tasks, as every film scanner has its own strengths and weaknesses. Specifically, for 135 color film that is extremely underexposed, overexposed, or exhibits frame overlapping without a gap, the Fuji Frontier scanner may encounter difficulties during scanning.

General Terms and Conditions:

  1. Please reply to our email with your payment receipt for acknowledgment (excluding sales receipt).

  2. Your files will be developed and uploaded after the payment is processed.

  3. Digital files will be backed up for 1 month.

  4. We will archive your negatives for up to 60 days. If we do not receive updated information/payment within 7 days (after the 60-day archiving period) regarding shipment or self-pickup (by appointment basis), we reserve the right to no longer archive your negatives.

  5. Walk in collect negative, appointment must be made at least 1 day in advance.

  8. Please specify by putting all the emails of each registered account if you wish to ship the negatives from two profiles or more together.

  9. Special processing and scanning situations (e.g., half-frame, xpan, panorama) will require additional working days and charges.

  10. In the event that a film turns out empty due to user mishandling or accidentally sending the wrong film, we will not refund and assume any responsibility.

  11. We retain the right to decide which scanner to use for scanning tasks, as every film scanner has its own strengths and weaknesses. Specifically, for 135 color film that is extremely underexposed, overexposed, or exhibits frame overlapping without a gap, the Fuji Frontier scanner may encounter difficulties during scanning.

  12. We take utmost care with all films, negatives, and materials you send us. However, in the event of accidents, damage, or loss, our liability is limited to replacing your film with a similar unexposed film of approximate equivalence. We are not liable for any damage resulting from mishandling or damage to image files.

  13. Dark Room 8 reserves the right to change the specification without prior notice.
